The Beer Hog (Pelham)
- The Beer Hog , located in a building that was once a school, is known for huge variety. This pub in Pelham has dozens of taps, featuring brews of many styles, from all over the planet. You may also find ciders, meads, and more on the rotating taps. Bar food is available, with decent pizza, pretzel bites, and more. You can even get some decent-looking salads.
Good People Brewing Company (Birmingham, downtown)
- GPBC got it all rolling in Birmingham’s current wave of breweries, back in 2008. It was founded in a basement area of a Five Points South restaurant. GPBC would eventually move to a much larger location – but then faced the threat of having to move again because of downtown development plans. Those plans changed, allowing them to stay where they remain now, just across the street from Regions Field, the home of the Birmingham Barons. Stop by and sample a variety of good brews, from session beers to the more potent Snake Handler.
