Alabama Symphony Orchestra
- ASO offers a wide range of concerts in locations around the city. In addition to the Masterworks series, subjects range from pop tunes to movie music, and much more. The Masterworks series is performed at the Alys Stephens Center – but you can also catch ASO in Railroad Park, at the Carver Theater, the BJCC, and many other locations.
Alys Stephens Center (Birmingham, UAB campus)
- ASC features four performance spaces. It is the performance home of the UAB departments of theater and music, in addition toe the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. ASC hosts a broad and varied range of touring performances, ranging from rock concerts to plays, and even shows that can’t be easily classified! It is also used by local groups for gala events and large-scale celebrations that have included Chinese New Year, Diwali, and much more.
Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex (Birmingham, downtown)
- BJCC is the main arena, performance, and event facility for Jefferson county. Its largest and perhaps best-known space is the 17,000-seat Legacy Arena, which hosts touring concert productions, sporting events, and much more. BJCC also has a concert hall that is home to the Broadway In Birmingham series, featuring touring companies of popular Broadway shows. BJCC also has convention halls for local and touring events.
